This Program Showcase describes a multi-state evaluation, involving the Universities of Hawaii and Arizona, of a Cooperative Extension financial education program conducted in Hawaii. Results will be presented to demonstrate program effectiveness as well as illustrating how those results can be used to make adjustments to the program, the program evaluation, and the ultimately the Logic Model.
Eating Patterns and Food Choices Among At Risk School Age Children

Showcase will present childhood nutrition priorities in settings that promote safe schools and community's .Research was conducted with 1300 families in four elementary schools with 658 returns .Parents perceptions and barriers of school food choices and physical activity patterns will be addressed. Implementation plans which increase the health and wellness of children at risk in elementary schools will be shared.

Painting the Picture of the Navajo Nation 4-H Program

The Navajo Nation is served by 3 state universities and 10 counties that support 4-H programs. To increase 4-H programming on the Navajo Nation a study was initiated to provide information regarding participation of Navajo Nation youth in 4-H youth development programs. This showcase will present the findings of this study and provide information about designing/implementing programs for Navajo Nation youth.

Insight of Courage: Lessons from the On Our Behalf Documentary

On Our Behalf is a documentary that reveals in their own words the experiences of National Guard and Reserve families with deployed soldiers. Learn how to become involved in the launch of the documentary and how to use the program, its website, and publications to promote public awareness and support for the families of soldiers deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq.
