DEFINITIONS

Evaluation: A planned process using specific data collection tools to record changes in learners. Many of the same data collection methods employed for evaluation are used for needs assessment.

Needs Assessment: A systematic process to establish a status report to inform planning for additional learning. The goal is to make changes in knowledge, attitude, skills, aspirations or behaviors. Many of the same data collection methods used for needs assessment are employed for evaluation.

Reporting: An account of program involvement based on a uniform reporting system.
