INTRODUCTION

Choose a numbered selection above to navigate through the data. Each one gives sample data. Feel free to browse through each of the examples. The outline of choices is as follows:

1. Information Data Bank
This information bank contains definitions, examples, advantages and disadvantages of the each of the data collection methods listed (i.e., case studies, existing information, personal interviews, group interviews, written surveys, phone surveys, observation and mass media/public hearings/public forums).

2. Sample Data
In this section, each data collection method (i.e., case studies, existing information, personal interviews, group interviews, written surveys, phone surveys, observation and mass media/public hearings/public forums) is used to create sample data for a hypothetical example. After reading the data, you can take an interactive true/false quiz to learn if the implication stated is correct. The quiz has a pop-up help screen for incorrect responses.

3. Presentations
Here you will find multiple reporting methods (i.e., abstracts and briefings, annual reports, brochures, exhibits, fact sheets, news releases, newsletters, posters and slides and overheads) and kinds of data graphics (i.e., tables, line graphs, bar graphs, pie charts and diagrams) you can use to present your findings. Each example is accompanied by tips and figures.
